TwoPoreGuys began to want customary machined parts quickly. For this, it was decided to have someone in the company produce machined parts in-house.

Despite lacking the knowledge and experience required, I was recommended to be a machinist due to my willingness and interest in learning the skills needed and being a self-starter. As a result, TwoPoreGuys paid for me to attend a few courses to learn, practice, and gain the skills needed.

As I was taking courses, TwoPoreGuys were already on the way with picking, ordering, and setting up a CNC machine. Once I was finished with my courses, I was asked to machine something impressive to test out TwoPoreGuys’s new Tormach 770 and to showcase the skills I learned as a sort of test.

The 3D model of the flower used came from a test set of machinable models on VCarve Pro’s website. I chose it because it was relatively complex and I figured it would be one of the toughest things I would ever machine. Surprising, I successfully machined the flower on my first attempt.
