Adapter
The Pony Auto-Align Pipette Adapter is a previous iteration of the Auto-Aligning, Spring-Loaded Pipette Adapter. Like the former and later iterations, the Pony Auto-Align Pipette Adapter was a solution to help automate quantifying a large volume of silica nitrite nanopore chips.
In using an outsourced CNC pen engraver to get a jump start on building and design, all that was needed was a fluid delivery setup to pipette sample into test strip consumables.
A spring-loaded design was desired to allow sealing at the fluid ports. Test strip designs were finalized at the time, meaning the fluid ports for the pipettes couldn’t be moved out.
