DNA Chain Hub
After creating and some refinement of TwoPoreGuys’ Helix “Orca” device concept for their universal biosensor, a new interest grew for a similar concept but in a new device named DNA Hubby.
The DNA Hubby would allow for multiple consumables to be used at once so tests could be performed rapidly.
Each hub also had the option to be daisy-chained for increased hardware power and to be able to run even more tests at once if desired.
TwoPoreGuys wanted to further explore the idea of modular designs, which led to the Chubby Hubby – a concept focused primarily on modularity in stacking hardware.
Later there was a desire for a design of the Chubby Hubby that matched the smooth and curvy aesthetics of the Helix “Orca” concept and the DNA Hubby, even if it sacrificed a little functionality in stacking hardware.
This led to the DNA Chain Hub – essentially an aesthetically touches-up Chubby Hubby with increased modularity.
