TPG McPherson Lab Layout

Early on during TwoPoreGuys’ growth, there was interest in a new facility.

The CEO wanted a feel for how the new space would look and if all the equipment we had would fit into what was allocated to us without being too crowded.

I was given drawings of the space so that I could create a 3D mock-up with lab equipment placement and space alterations – mainly the removal of some offices.

There was a strong interest in being able to see how everything would look aesthetically – from flooring, to paint choice with the wall color, if brick and hardwood would be used.

I chose to use Blender to construct the entire office space from floor plans.

Later when TwoPoreGuys was bigger there was interest in cleaning up and organizing a backroom that was used for storage and industrial matters too dirty to perform in the lab or engineering area.

The room was converted into a shop room where laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC machining, injection molding, and facility projects could take place.

Due to all the equipment and the small space available, I was asked to draft the back room and everything that would go into it and organize it.

Aesthetics weren’t of major interest, so I used SolidWorks to draft out floor plans.
